Celebrating Success

We want to start by recognizing two outstanding students, Birhanu and Medihanit, who both did exceptionally well and passed their respective classes. B Loved has awarded them both a gift of a leather backpack for their great accomplishment. We hope that this special recognition also motivates fellow students to work hard and follow in their footsteps.

Spiritual Support
We continue to offer spiritual support to the children in many ways including every evening, the group home members have a family devotion where they receive moral education and read the Holy Bible. The children have been divided into four groups and the staff members teach them from the Bible on a regular basis.
Communication Training
Training for Soddo Staff on Developing Communication Skills for Positive Parenting was given for fifteen B Loved Ethiopia staff members by the project director. The training was prepared based on the book entitled, “Shepherding a Child’s Heart.” The training was aimed to help develop the skill of disciplining a child according to the scripture. The approach does not directly address character but focuses on the heart of a child.
Land Requisition Process Update
We are getting closer to building the next new group homes! The Soddo Town municipality has given a 400 square meter land which is located in a convenient place, close to the 1st and 2nd constructed group homes. We hope that we will receive the land very soon after some formal steps are completed and start to build the 5th and 6th group homes! Challenges
As mentioned last month, some of the children are having a hard time adjusting to their new school and a few of them are even experiencing some health issues due to stress and anxiety. We are giving them special attention and are providing the resources and support they need to overcome this obstacle in their educational studies. Please continue to pray for them to have the strength, courage, and determination they need to succeed.
