Growing the Family

June 6, 2019

We have some really exciting news to share from this past month!

First off, we want to welcome a new addition to the B Loved family!!

Beginning in June, 9-year-old Tesfanesh Amante will be officially admitted to B Loved group home. She is the sister of Tigist Yohannis. Tesfanesh raises the total number of B Loved children to 57! Praise God!!

On May 11, the organization held an inauguration for the completion of the 3rd and 4th Group Home! The ceremony was held in the presence of US donors and some of the team members from Texas. We are so excited to have these homes ready for the children.

Special Visitors

We had a wonderful visit from one of the junior schools in Wolaita Zone called Icon Academy. 120 people, including staff and students, came to the B Loved training center and spent more than 2 hours with the kids engaging and learning more about the B Loved vision and mission.

The project director had a visit with one of the NGO’s in Soddo called Busajo. The organization mainly works on street children and reintegrates children to their families after empowering them psychologically, educationally and economically. One of the NGO’s strength is that it focuses highly on business making skill of their children side by side attending their regular class properly. This organization wants B Loved children to come and see their special business skill training. So we are planning to send some of B Loved children and attend the training session during summer vacation.

Visitors from Abroad

One of the biggest privileges for B Loved children is the opportunity to meet with so many new people. They are sharing their love and also encouraging others to be involved. From May 8 to 11 we had visitors from Texas. They spent a lot of time with B Loved children and gave them special gifts. We are always happy to have visitors and the children look forward to their return.

Five B Loved children have started guitar lessons and basic music sciences by the project director.

Rahel Tatek attending the B Loved Ethiopia Guitar lesson session. Medhanit Ferede is a very good singer and loves to practice guitar.

Please continue to pray for the progress we are making and the children in our care.

We appreciate your continued support!
