Learning, Leading, and Loving Well
September 30, 2025

As we begin the new academic year (2018 E.C.), we are grateful to share the many ways B Loved Ethiopia has been able to support and uplift the children in our care.
📚 Education & Achievements
This month, school materials and registration were arranged for our children in Sodo, who will attend Hope Full Generation Academy, Bezalel Academy, and Ethio-Canada Academy. We are thrilled to celebrate two Bishoftu students, Alemayehu Beletu and Kenesa Kelifa, who successfully passed the national exam and are now promoted to Grade 7! In addition, Bemni has graduated from Escafer Hotel & Training Center and is another proud milestone.
⛪ Spiritual Growth
All of our children continue to grow in their faith, attending church every Sunday and participating in group devotions. In Bishoftu, the children joyfully shared their gifts through the church choir, enriching worship services in the community.
💛 Holistic Care & Summer Program
Our summer program was a success. We focused on academic enrichment, character building, creativity, and holistic engagement. Children also received ongoing psychosocial support through home visits, counseling, and group activities. One highlight was life skills training on self-discipline, where children engaged through discussions, role plays, and shared experiences.
🏅 Special Recognition
We are especially proud of Athlete Alemayehu Beletu, who completed a nine-day Athletics Coaching course and earned his Level One Coaching Certificate which is a significant achievement that opens doors for his future.
🌾 Community & Sustainability
Volunteers played an essential role in Sodo, supporting life skills training and spending meaningful time with the children. Recognition will be given to them at the close of summer camp. On the sustainability side, our dairy farms produced over 1,200 liters of milk in Sodo alone this month, providing both nourishment for the children and income from sales. Our poultry farm continues to diversify food and resources for the program.
⚠️ Challenges
Market inflation and power outages posed challenges this month. Despite this, we remain committed to resource efficiency, ensuring that every effort directly benefits the children.
🙏 Community Support
This past month we were also called to stand with our wider community after the devastating fire at Otona Hospital, which destroyed surgical rooms and wards. Alongside other organizations, we are contributing to the recovery efforts.
Through education, spiritual development, community support, and sustainable initiatives, B Loved Ethiopia continues to build a brighter future for vulnerable children and youth. Thank you for walking with us on this journey. Your support makes all the difference!
