Exciting Updates from B Loved Ethiopia
We are thrilled to share some wonderful milestones and events from the past month at B Loved Ethiopia.
Graduation Celebrations On June 30, 2024, five children from Sodo – Tamenech, Meskerem, Merdekios, Sisay, and Tesfanesh – graduated from the Master Life and Discipleship Class. Congratulations to these young achievers!
Skill Building and Community Service Students spent time at the B Loved center gaining valuable office work skills, including organizing and filing. They also participated in community service projects, such as planting grass on the soccer field and visiting patients at the hospital, fostering a spirit of service and responsibility.
A Heartwarming Visit David and his family visited our B Loved children, joined by other supporters from the US. The Sodo kids traveled to Addis Ababa for a joyful three-day gathering, meeting their donors and spending quality time with their B Loved family from Bishoftu. This visit was a refreshing and joyous occasion for everyone involved.
New Enrollments The Wolaita Sodo Women and Children Affairs office has requested B Loved Ethiopia to enroll three new children (one girl and two boys). We are in the process of completing their medical examinations and preparing the necessary documents to welcome them into our group homes. Please be praying for these children and for a smooth transition.
Development Center Beautification Efforts to beautify our development center continue, with vegetables being planted around the dairy farm area and grass being sown on the soccer field. Our soccer players are taking a break for the grass to take root, ensuring a lush and safe playing surface.
Bishoftu Progress and Support In Bishoftu, our children are finishing their annual classes, and our team is providing regular school visitations, group home support, and tutoring. The Friday night spiritual program continues to be a source of inspiration and community building.
Get-Together Program The Get-Together Program brought together children and youth from Sodo, Bishoftu, and Addis Ababa, fostering a sense of family, love, and sharing. This initiative has been instrumental in creating meaningful connections and empowering our children through counseling and support.
Construction Milestones The holistic children's care and youth empowerment center in Bishoftu has made significant progress. The structural work is complete, and the project is now moving to the blocking stage. This progress is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our B Loved team.
Overcoming Challenges Despite facing a chicken disease outbreak, our poultry farm team, with the help of Dr. Guta, successfully managed to save a large number of chickens, ensuring the continuity of our operations.
Thank you for your continued support and commitment to B Loved Ethiopia. Your generosity and involvement make a profound difference in the lives of the children we serve.
